- Client: Conservation International Hawai‘i
- Services: Storyline & creative development, video production & direction, editing & project finishing
- Info: Workhat produced and co-directed this series of four short videos in collaboration with Jhana Young of CI Hawai‘i. The Ta‘ape Project is a movement to increase consumption of the invasive reef fish and is being advanced by Chef Hui and CI Hawai‘i – who approached us about producing the series during events planned for Sustainable Seafood Month in October 2021. With Jhana and input from Under My Umbrella PR and marketing we took the project from initial concept conversations into three event recap videos and a fifteen minute film on the why and how behind eating ta‘ape.
- The three month long production required shoots on Big Island, Maui and O‘ahu with narrative recording on Kaua‘i. Production contributors included Brian Greene, Cody Welsh Design, Gary Ellwood and Three Tree Creative.
- The Ta‘ape Project logo was designed by Kuhao Zane of Sig Zane Designs.
